The 21-year-old Australian international defender joined Brighton & Hove Albion from Liberty A-League Women club Sydney FC last summer. Rule made nine appearances for The Seagulls in the Barclays Women’s Super League in what was an injury-hit first season in England.
Rule has the potential to shine in the Barclays Women’s Super League and she will be hoping for more luck with her fitness in 2024/2025.
After retaining Rule’s services, Brighton & Hove Albion head coach, Dario Vidošić said “We’re excited that Charlie has committed her future to the club.
“I’ve seen her play during my time coaching in the A-League in Australia before she joined Brighton last summer.
“It was unfortunate for her to miss the end of last season but she’s a talented young player with a bright future in this team. I’m looking forward to working with her this season.”
Rule is the second player to extend her contract with Brighton & Hove Albion this summer. Serbian defender Dejana Stefanović has also signed on again with The Seagulls in the close season.
