That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Valentín Barco as the player all set to take his talents to Andalusia for the season ahead.
The Sevilla board recently kickstarted a search for reinforcements at left-back, after learning of Marcos Acuña’s desire to return to Argentina with River Plate.
A whole host of names, in turn, were tipped to link up with García Pimienta’s troops, on low-cost and loan deals alike.
And it is the latter route which the brass at the The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium have ultimately opted for.
This comes amid confirmation, as alluded to above, that Sevilla have tied up a deal for Brighton & Hove Albion talent Valentín Barco.
As per a report from transfer insider Fabrizio Romano:
‘Sevilla have reached [a] verbal agreement with Brighton to sign Valentín ‘Colo’ Barco on [a] loan deal.’
The transfer will not feature an option to buy, with Barco – already a fully established Argentine international – remaining in the long-term plans of his parent club.
