BREAKING NEWS; Angel Reese Stunned by Brutal Criticism: Dangerous Comparisons Emerge After Disastrous Shooting Performance

Angel Reese set yet another WNBA record in the Chicago Sky’s loss to the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday, but also earned some harsh criticism for her struggles shooting the ball. The rookie scored 11 points and grabbed 22 rebounds in the 77-75 loss, tying Tina Charles for the most double-doubles by a rookie in WNBA history and extending her league-record streak of 20-rebound games to three. While she was a monster on the glass, Reese struggled on offense, going just 4-for-16 from the field including one air-balled three-pointer. After the game, commentator Jason Whitlock suggested that Reese’s shooting form may be “impossible” to fix and offered a very unflattering comparison. “Angel Reese releases the ball at her shoulder, not at eye level. It’s the equivalent of Stevie Wonder and Gary Coleman combining on a shot,” Whitlock wrote on X. “Leads to blocks and bricks. It won’t be an easy fix. Might be impossible.”

Reese has struggled shooting throughout her rookie season, connecting on just 39.3% of shots from the field including 20% on three-pointers.
