Celtic have had an offer accepted for Fenerbahce goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic, according to a report.
The Premiership champions are in dire need of a new No. 1 after Joe Hart hung up his gloves following the Scottish Cup Final victory over Rangers. And reports in Turkey suggest that Brendan Rodgers is finally set to strengthen the key position. Livakovic is currently at Euro 2024 with Croatia but his Fenerbahce future now looks to be decided, with Fotomac stating that the shot-stopper told the club he wanted to leave at the end of the title-winning campaign – just 12 months after quitting Dinamo Zagreb for the Turkish giants.
It is claimed that a €9million (£7.6million) offer has been accepted from Celtic with Jose Mourinho’s side said to have already lined up a successor. A €3million “agreement in principle” has been struck with Juventus to bring Mattia Perin to the club next season.
If the deal comes to fruition it would be the first signing of the summer by Celtic. Rodgers is gearing his side up for the Champions League group stage as well a title defence.
