The Chicago Bulls are still hard at work trying to find a new home for Zach LaVine but they are striking out in Los Angeles.
According to Tomer Azarly, via Legion Hoops, the Los Angeles Clippers have “no interest” in trading for LaVine.
That means that Chicago’s options have become even more limited as the regular season slowly approaches.
LaVine is not a bad player by any means and averaged 19.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists during the 2023-24 season.
He also shot 45.2% from the field but only played in 25 games before an injury ended his season.
The problem with LaVine is that he now has a history of injuries and comes with a very large price tag.
Therefore, other teams like the Clippers aren’t eager to sign LaVine and carry the burden of his big salary.
With the Clippers out of the picture, the Bulls will have to look elsewhere if they wish to find a new home for LaVine.
There is now a growing chance that the Bulls hold onto LaVine because no attractive trade offer is being presented.
However, previous reports said that the relationship between LaVine and the Bulls has been completely severed and is beyond repair.
But they might be forced to work with LaVine in the new season, at least for a few months.
If they can’t find a different team to send him to, the Bulls will hold onto LaVine but will constantly be looking for a new deal before the trade deadline.
He might not be going to LA but LaVine is likely leaving Chicago at some point soon.
