AC Milan are actively working to strengthen their midfield, with Youssouf Fofana from AS Monaco being their top priority. Despite reports suggesting the club were making progress in their bid to secure the Frenchman, Sky Sport Italia suggest the path to securing Fofana is proving to be difficult.
Ligue 1 side Monaco have now set a price tag of €35 million for the French midfielder, and interest from Manchester United and Atletico Madrid has further complicated Milan’s pursuit and potentially increased the asking price.
Given these challenges, Milan is exploring alternative options. Among the potential candidates are Adrien Rabiot, who is currently a free agent after his contract with Juventus expired, and another midfielder, Richard Rios.
