REPORT; Key Jack Harrison transfer details

It is a matter of time before Jack Harrison’s Everton return is officially announced. The Leeds United winger is poised to head back to Goodison Park for a second successive season.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has today revealed that a deal for Harrison has been concluded. Romano states that Harrison will join Everton on a season-long loan deal but with no option to buy. However, the Toffees view Harrison as part of their long term plans and will look to sign him on a permanent basis in “due course”.

Romano posted on his X account: “Jack Harrison, new Everton player as all docs are now signed — here we go confirmed. New exclusive detail: it’s loan move from Leeds United, no buy option… but with a view to make it permanent in due course, it’s concrete possibility. Deal sealed.”

Harrison established himself as a first team regular last year as the Toffees avoided the drop. He made 29 Premier League appearances for the Toffees, hitting three goals.

The former England Under-21 international is under contract at United until 2028. He first joined the club six years ago on loan from Manchester City. It was turned into a permanent switch in 2021.

The 27-year-old has amassed 190 league appearances for the Whites. A member of Marcelo Bielsa’s promotion-winning side in 2020, Harrison was one of a number of senior players to leave on loan last summer following the club’s relegation to the Championship.
