REPORT; T20 World Cup: PM Narendra Modi congratulates Team India

India Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a heartfelt congratulatory message to team India after their triumphant T20 World Cup campaign.
It was a fantastic performance from Rohit Sharma and his men, who defied all the challenges and stamped their authority in the entire tournament. In the final, they emerged from the jaws of defeat to secure the victory which will be remembered for ages. After the victory, India PM Narendra Modi shared a congratulatory message on social media. Modi consoled the Indian team after their 50-over World Cup heartbreak but it was a message with a glee on Modi’s face. “A hearty congratulations to team India on the behalf of all citizens of India for this win. Today, the 140 crore citizens are proud of your excellent achievements. You have won the World Cup on the field of cricket, and along with that, in the villages and localities, you have won the hearts of crores,” Narendra Modi said in a video after India’s historical victory.

The India PM also marked India’s invincible status in the World Cup and expressed the volume of winning the tournament without facing defeat once. “Also this tournament will be remembered for another special reason. All these many nations and teams, and not losing a single match in it, this is not a mere achievement. You played, tackled the deliveries of all the gladiators of the cricketing world and kept on winning one after another. This winning streak didn’t just keep on giving you confidence, but also added the element of spice and excitement to the tournament. You have achieved a fantastic triumphant campaign, and I congratulate you all and best of luck,” the India Prime Minister concluded.

“CHAMPIONS! Our team brings the T20 World Cup home in STYLE! We are proud of the Indian Cricket Team. This match was HISTORIC,” the caption wrote.
This now becomes India’s sixth ICC title – 2 Champions Trophy, 2 T20 World Cups and 2 50-over World Cups.
