President Naomichi Marufuji at the NOAH Destination 2024 event on July 13 at Budokan Hall.
WWE and NOAH previously collaborated in 2023, when Shinsuke Nakamura faced The Great Muta at NOAH’s New Year show.
In a recent interview with “Planeta Wrestling,” Marufuji shared his thoughts on Styles’ upcoming match.
Marufuji lauded Styles as an exceptional athlete and one of the world’s top talents. He said,
“He (Styles) is a great fighter in every way and one of the best in the world. I want the fans to really enjoy my exchanges during the match with him, and I think we can achieve that.”
When asked about other wrestlers in WWE or international promotions against whom he would like to compete, Marufuji expressed interest in facing all WWE Superstars and invited several of them to participate in NOAH events.
However, the NOAH Vice President acknowledged the need for further training before competing in a WWE ring.
He continued, “I am interested in all WWE wrestlers. I want to invite several wrestlers to compete in the NOAH ring. To compete in the WWE ring, I think I need more training before that, so I can’t say I want to do it right now.”
The future collaboration between WWE and NOAH remains to be seen.
