NEWS; Liel Abada opens up on his post.

The 22-year-old brought a goal threat from the right-hand flank for the Bhoys, chipping in with 29 goals and 22 assists in 112 appearances across all competitions.

Continuing his penchant for hitting the target, he has registered four strikes and a solitary assist at Charlotte, settling into life Stateside after leaving Celtic due to well-documented issues that made a clean break between both parties the most viable option.

Nevertheless, he is still in touch with his old teammates and recently commented on Alistair Johnston’s Instagram post while on international duty with Canada at Copa America.

Following a successful opening period to his time at Charlotte, Abada has opened up on what his post-Celtic life has been like since leaving Parkhead.

Cited via The Herald, Abada is happy with how his move to the United States has worked out so far, complementing the high standard of Major League Soccer in addition.

He explained: “I had like a tough year last season, but I’m starting to feel really good. I’m really happy to be here.

“I’ve had so much support from the staff, from the coaches, from players, from the fans, and you know, I feel like it’s home here so it’s a really good place for me.

“The MLS is a really good league with really good players. In Israel we have so many good talents, young players, and I think it would be good for them, but you know, I cannot control who comes here or not.”

Truthfully, Abada’s talent was never the root of why he left the club; complicated circumstances outwith the Bhoys’ control signalled his premature Parkhead exit.

Nevertheless, both parties have since moved on, and Celtic were able to deal with his exit to go on and secure the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup.

The Bhoys also received a handsome fee for his services, which can hopefully be reinvested into their summer transfer endeavours.
