The Foxes are wanting to add a striker to their side as a result of depleting options in the area.
Jamie Vardy will likely be leading the line for Leicester City this season, however looks set to be a doubt for the opening Premier League match against Tottenham.
Other striker options include Patson Daka, who may be able to fill Vardy’s shoes when he is absent, as well as Tom Cannon, who is weighing up loan interest from Championship sides.
Whilst this attack will be brilliant in the Championship, Leicester City must be looking to add more quality in the top end and more assured goal scoring ability at a high level.
That leaves a clear void up top for Steve Cooper’s side this season, however Leicester City have targeted a Serie A striker to lead the line and provide more competition to the likes of Vardy and Daka.
The Foxes have reportedly targeted a deal to sign El Bilal Toure in a loan move this season, per The Telegraph.
The Mali striker was unable to provide a significant impact whilst in Serie A, although did play on several occasions, including a goal in the Europa League against Marseille.
The season prior saw him perform to a high standard at almeria, where he scored seven goals and contributed two assists in 21 matches, one of which came against Barcelona in a 1-0 win.
Toure also has shone for Mali on the international stage, scoring seven goals in 19 caps for his country.
