The Foxes desperately need to make further additions before the start of the 2024/25 Premier League season.
Steve Cooper wants Leicester City to strengthen in three positions before deadline day on August 30th.
A new striker, a central midfielder, and a number 10 are all understood to be priorities at the King Power Stadium.
Owner Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha has been working hard to get these positions strengthened in the last week or so.
Adam Hlozek is expected to join Leicester from Bayer Leverkusen in a deal that will see the striker join on loan with an obligation to purchase for £17m if the Midlands outfit avoid relegation.
Facundo Buonanotte has joined the Foxes recently as well and should add some much-needed creative spark in the attacking third.
The incomings at the newly-promoted side are not expected to stop there, however.
Now, it appears the Foxes have been handed a surprise boost on the transfer front.
Journalist Fabrice Hawkins reported on August 11th that Leicester were interested in signing Red Bull Salzburg defender, Oumar Solet.
However, the Frenchman was expected to instead make the move to Bundesliga outfit, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
Now though, German outlet Kicker have reported on August 13th that Hoffenheim’s move for the centre-back has fallen through at the last minute.
The deal, as per Florian Plettenberg, was expected to set the German side back around £5.5m.
