NEWS; “Bayern Munich in Disarray: Min-jae and Upamecano MIA, Goretzka as Center-Back, Musiala’s New Role, and Tel Storms Off After Boey Clash!”

Fans already fretting the status of Bayern Munich’s backline probably got a little anxious earlier today when reports started to break that neither Kim Min-jae, nor Dayot Upamecano were present at the team’s training session.

After the Bundesliga opener where neither Min-jae nor Upamecano were really all that solid individually (as a pairing, the duo was subpar as well), losing both players still would have been a punch to the gut to fans already reeling and eager to see the players improve:

However, there was a reason. First, Min-jae was training individually

Later, Sky Sport journalist Kerry Hau said that Upamecano was held out of practice due to load management:

So, there you have it — there is no reason to hit the panic button already this season, but clearly, the health of the center-back duo will remain to be key at a position where there is very little organizational depth ready for first team football at the moment.

The hits did, indeed, keep on coming as youngster Nestory Irankunda also went down and left the pitch on a golf cart
