Arsenal legend Ian Wright has weighed in on the potential transfer of Raheem Sterling to the Gunners, stating the “only way” the deal could be even more beneficial for the club. Speaking on a popular football podcast today, Wright suggested that bringing Sterling to the Emirates would be a game-changer, but that it could be made even sweeter with the addition of another key signing.
“If Arsenal could pull off a deal for Raheem Sterling, it would be a massive statement,” Wright said. “But to make it even better, they should also look to strengthen the midfield with a quality holding player who can complement Sterling’s style and allow him to flourish up front.”
Sterling, who has been linked with a move away from Chelsea, has reportedly caught the eye of Arsenal’s management, who are looking to add more attacking options to their squad. With his speed, creativity, and goal-scoring ability, Sterling is seen as a player who could elevate Arsenal’s title ambitions.
Wright believes that while Sterling’s signing would be a major coup, addressing other areas of the squad could ensure the club’s success. “Sterling has the experience and the winning mentality that Arsenal need, but football is a team game,”
