Top Headline: Ex-Thunder Sharpshooter Set to Join Dubai BC

Davis Bertans, a former NBA sharpshooter, is expected to finalize a multi-year deal to play in Dubai, according to Marc Stein of The Stein Line. The agreement includes an NBA buyout clause, allowing Bertans to return to the league if he receives a contract offer.

Initially, Bertans had planned to audition for the Golden State Warriors this month, but his focus shifted after receiving the Dubai offer, which allows for a potential return to the NBA in the future.

Drafted 42nd overall by the Indiana Pacers in the 2011 NBA Draft, Bertans was immediately traded to the San Antonio Spurs alongside future two-time NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard in a highly memorable transaction. After spending time with the Spurs, Bertans played for the Washington Wizards and the Dallas Mavericks before being acquired by the Oklahoma City Thunder last summer in a deal involving rising star Cason Wallace.

The 31-year-old played just 15 games for the Thunder last season before being traded midseason to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for the now-retired Gordon Hayward. Throughout his NBA career, Bertans has averaged 7.7 points, 2.4 rebounds, and shot 42.2% from the field, including 39.6% from three-point range and 86.3% from the free-throw line.
