BREAKING NEWS; Fabrizio Romano’s Different Report about Eddie Howe and Paul Mitchell Incident

Eddie Howe‘s side sit comfortably in sixth spot with 10 points under their belt following the opening five games of the season.

However, it was far from a comfortable summer for Newcastle with the Toon struggling during the transfer window.

The Magpies struggled to make any major deals happen over the summer with their standout arrival being Lloyd Kelly on a free transfer.

And that has led to a lot of frustration coming from the Newcastle manager who has actually seen his squad weakened.

It has recently been reported of the friction taking place behind the scenes at St James’ Park between Howe and Paul Mitchell.

Having been appointed in the middle of the summer, it was always going to be an uphill task for Mitchell to land on Tyneside and bring in some huge names.

And this is something which has not gone down well with Howe considering he saw Elliot Anderson and Yankuba Minteh both sold to meet the PSR deadline.

Amid the ongoing tensions being reported at Newcastle, Fabrizio Romano has played down the severity of the clashes on Tyneside.

“Media continue to report problems between Eddie Howe and Paul Mitchell but the situation is the same as I said here 10 days ago. Let’s give them time,” Romano said in his Daily Briefing.

“They have a different background, have only been together for a few months, and it takes time to create a common vision and chemistry between new people at top clubs.

“I’m not sure the situation is as terrible as it’s been described. I’d rather wait and see how they keep working together in the next months before judging.”

This is also something which has not gone down well with those at Newcastle.

January will not provide Mitchell with many excuses for a transfer window which replicates what was seen in the summer.

Notoriously, the January window is a difficult one to work in but the dreadful summer market has left Mitchell with no other option but to pull something out of the bag.
