BREAKING NEWS; Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala to face consequences of Bayern’s trophyless season

Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala watched the club’s season fall apart spectacularly last season under former head coach Thomas Tuchel, with a dismal season punctuated by the embarrassment of finishing third place in a two-horse race as VfB Stuttgart beat the Bavarian giants to the title of Vizemeister.

“It’s expected that you win a trophy and there comes a pressure in that,” Musiala said in an interview with English publication The Guardian, as captured by @iMiaSanMia. “There’s lots of good competition in the league and we just need to focus on ourselves right now and do the things right that we maybe didn’t do last season.”

Wise words but they will be difficult to execute. The start to the season has been fairly positive for the league leaders, but positive starts have never won a title race. Bayern did not keep up the pace in the Bundesliga last season and they will need to do that better this time around.
