Is Lamar Jackson the best quarterback in the NFL? His teammates certainly think so. The Baltimore Ravens quarterback recently led a dramatic 35-34 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, cementing his case to be named the season’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the third time in his career
The Ravens’ comeback against the Bengals was nothing short of epic. The first half was a disaster for head coach John Harbaugh’s team and by the middle of the third quarter, they were down 21-7 on the scoreboard. The game seemed lost, but Jackson stepped up and put the team on his shoulders.
The Ravens’ comeback began with an incredible play by Jackson, who backed up nearly 20 yards while chased by the opposing defense. Dodging tackles, the quarterback not only made up for lost ground but gained 10 yards, paving the way for Derrick Henry to make it 21-14 a few plays later.
Jackson’s feat kick-started Baltimore’s comeback, leaving everyone amazed, starting with teammate Kyle Hamilton, who said that neither Patrick Mahomes nor Josh Allen could do what Lamar does in almost every game
Jackson is the best athlete in the world
“He is tough to deal with just from a practice perspective. I don’t even have to chase him around really like that, like people do in the game. And I can’t imagine playing against him,” said the Ravens’ safety about training with Lamar.
Speaking to The Rich Eisen Show, Hamilton stressed that Jackson’s ability is unparalleled. “He’s probably the most versatile athlete in the world, regardless of sport, it’s just nobody does what they do in their specific sport like Lamar does,” he said.
